I worked with Lily starting in August 2011. We closed on the purchase of our house on December 29, 2011 successfully. Lily Cole is truly a professional and I am so lucky to work with her and know her as a friend!
Lily and I met each other at an open house in August 2011. At the time I was not ready to work with any agent yet as I don’t like being pushed by agents. I thought I could find my perfect house all by myself! (That’s what I thought about all agents at the time and Lily changed my attitude). Lily was very welcoming and provided her view of the house from a buyer’s perspective. I immediately liked her. So I left my contact information but I was not expecting any email/call from Lily. Three days later I got a call from Lily because she wanted to show me a townhouse with great potential and location. I had the “give it a try” attitude and we met on Friday and started our house searching then.
During our house searching, I started feel how professional Lily is. She always gave me her opinions about pros and cons of each property I saw. For example, one day we looked at a single family house in Bethesda. The house had a brand new kitchen which was very attractive. Sometimes, buyers like me are easily attracted by one thing but forget to look at the whole picture. Lily was very patient and pointed out how small the bathroom in the master bedroom was for a couple. Also, the recreation room downstairs had an extremely low ceiling. She did not simply push me to make an offer at the moment. Instead she let me think about it and imagine if we would be happy living there. I really really appreciated what she had done!
When we toured the house we ended up buying, Lily immediately noticed how much I loved it. It is in a good location with good community and it is beautiful. My initial offer was very low compared with the asking price. Lily did not simply push me to raise my offer. Instead, she tried her best to make both seller and buyer work together from the low offer. Without Lily, the seller could have simply rejected our offer because it was too low.
When our negotiation reached dead end, it was Lily who persuaded the seller to sacrifice in order to make the deal! I am truly thankful for what she did.
Again, there are millions of small things that Lily did for us which I can not write down in one simple letter. Basically she made buying a house a fun experience!
This is the first week of 2012. I am sure we will fully enjoy our new home for many years. I am grateful for Lily’s kindness and hard work! I am truly happy that I not only found a perfect home, but also made a new friend!

“Even after we closed our deals, Lily still thinks about us”
Ms. Lily Cole recently represented us for buying and selling our houses. We found Lily to be an extraordinary agent.
We met Lily about a year ago in an open house but we were not clear on the type of house we were looking for. After several attempts, Lily gradually figured out what we needed. One day in June, she told us that there was a house that we must see. After visiting it, we believed it was our dream house. Lily worked very hard and secured the house for us at a reasonable price before its first open house.
If getting our dream house required good luck, selling our old house was really hard work. Because we had bought a new house first, we needed to sell our old house quickly at a reasonable price. Lily provided valuable service on everything, contacting many firms to do renovations and improvements. She made herself available to us 7/24 and always acted in our best interests. As it was our first time selling a house, we did not anticipate the numerous things that we did not know and had never thought about. With Lily’s help, we sold our house only a few days after closing on the new house.
Lily has a warm heart and always tries her best to get maximum benefits for her customers. Even after we closed our deals, Lily still thinks about us. She visited us many times to make sure everything was okay in our new house, such as address changes, floor repair, house cleaning, and so on. In her view, everything is important if the customer needs it.
It seems like a small thing, but I had trouble finding the water meter in the house. Lily came over to look with me. Because the water company gave us wrong information, we could not find it. A day later, she came back with her husband. They searched everywhere inside and outside the house and finally she found it.
We are very busy scientists, but so lucky to have Lily as our agent. She saved a lot of our time. We are very satisfied with her professional performance and appreciate her help very much. If any of our friends need to sell or buy a house in the future, we will recommend her.

Lily was very warm and friendly and although we did not ultimately purchase that particular home, Lily stayed in touch with us through the years. It wasn't unusual to receive a letter from her regarding market trends or a text message staying in touch.
When it was time for us to finally get serious about purchasing a house this past fall, we knew Lily was the only agent for us. We recently worked with Lily Cole on two transactions, as both buyers and sellers, and want to send along a note to let you know how fabulous we think she is.
