“I didn’t have worry about finding a repair man”
I want to take a minute to extol the virtues of Lily Cole, my agent for the sale of our house in Chevy Chase.
I knew that Lily was energetic before I hired her. I had seen her working out at our gym in Bethesda. But it wasn’t until we met during the interview process and I saw her implementing the steps she took to sell my home that I realized how enthusiastic and helpful she really is. Lily always took special interest in making sure that the home was presented in the best possible way for the Open House. She kept in touch with me giving me feedback regularly to ensure that anything that would detract from the sale was addressed. She has a remarkable list of specialists that can help resolve or fix any problem identified by the home inspector (and they always find something), as well as window cleaners and residential cleaning crews. This took an enormous amount of pressure off me. I didn’t have worry about finding a repair man and then schedule time away from the office. All paper work was ready and complete and meetings with the buyer were on time and convenient.
In short she made the otherwise stressful process of selling my home a success and moving as stress-free as possible for me. We (Lily and I as a Team) sold the house within the first week of the contract with Long and Foster. Thank you Lily and thank you Long and Foster.

“Both efficient and caring”
My husband and I enjoyed working with Lily on the sale of our home. Her research and knowledge of the Mt Air area permitted us to price the house realistically. She was with us each step of the way in preparing the house for an open house, finding contractors to assist us and making sure we had qualified buyers seeing the house. Her work was so effective that the house sold in 2 days with a contract negotiated at higher than the asking price. Quite unexpected in this market!
After the contract was signed, Lily kept us in the loop through the appraisal and home inspection. She again helped us locate contractors who completed the few items listed on the home inspection. As we have prepared to move, Lily has checked in to see if there was anything we needed to make the transition easier. Settlement is now just 2 weeks away and she will be with us to make sure everything goes according to plan. Lily has been both efficient and caring in her handling of our sale.

“I felt pampered and cared for”
Lily did a wonderful job in selling my Washington DC condo. I have met many realtors over the years but Lily is simply one of the best. Her professionalism, enthusiasm, and guidance were all first class. She assisted me in all phases of negotiations, went out of your way to provide me with the answers to all my questions, and stayed with me until settlement. I really felt pampered and cared for; it’s a good feeling when one is making such an important transaction.
Lily’s diligence, action oriented recommendations and strategies for planning the sale of my condo were keys to the timely sale just in time for the spring market. She was very quick to organize listings, realtor showings and open houses. She was diligent in making notes on comments obtained from these visitors to the open house, which were helpful in eventually selling my home.
Lily was able to manage the whole sell transaction with exemplary service and with a friendly demeanor, which assured me that the sale of my condo was in good hands.

“Not just meticulous, but with scruples”
I went to settlement September 28. The two months from mid June were quite grueling. We had to work hard and fast to empty the house and get it ready before the cold season started. Thank God, everything worked out well. There were, I believe, some God-sent people who helped me in the process of selling my house. One was Lily Cole.
Lily came well recommended to me by my daughter and her husband. Lily was their agent when they sold their townhouse in Rockville. She also found their lovely new house in Bethesda.
I believe it was earlier this year when our church had a men’s fellowship in the home of my daughter and her husband. One of our guests admired the house so much and expressed his desire to buy something similar. Guess who they recommended? Lily of course! And who do you think sold his former house? It is not surprising, but I’ll tell why I would recommend her to others.
First, Lily is a very hardworking, conscientious (not just meticulous, but with scruples) real state agent. It is one thing to be hardworking, but quite another to be hardworking for a client. I could really feel she was working for and on my behalf. “I got your back” might be overused or hackneyed, but Lily ought to have those words hanging on her office door, but not placed there by herself, rather by her satisfied customers.
She was always in touch with me. She would call me to give updates even in the night. That made me sleep well. She did not just bring to my attention problems that came up, she presented solutions, and even found the right people to do work on them. She also tried to keep the costs down with the solutions.
The second quality I like about Lily is her courtesy. She’s always respectful and appreciative. Perhaps, being of Asian descent too (I was born in the Philippines) and being a minister, I am very particular about this. I believe every person ought to be treated with dignity. Whenever I buy things, customer care and service are a primary consideration to me.
Thirdly, Lily also has a sense of humor and can laugh with her clients. Together with that, she possess a positive attitude. God bless Lily.

“The house went under contract in three days in a weak market”
Even though I was expecting good service, I have to say I was “blown away” by Lily Cole’s assistance in our recent sale of our home in Bethesda. Despite being aware that she was my first choice as an agent, she provided me with a thorough presentation highlighting the services that she would provide. She clearly outlined the strategies for preparing and marketing my home for sale. We discussed alternative options and my husband and I felt comfortable that our voices were heard. Based on a plan that was both feasible and palatable, she made sure that the house was prepared, staged, photographed and promoted to best highlight its selling points.
The house went under contract in three days in a weak market. But Ms. Cole’s services did not end there. She kept us informed at every stage and when we were out of town, she verified that there was no damage to the house during Maryland’s extraordinary weather challenges. As to the closing, there were no surprises or delays. It was perfect.
I am deeply grateful to Lily for making an emotionally difficult transition from Bethesda to Cleveland significantly easier.

“Excellent judgment of market conditions”
Now that the dust has mostly settled for me, I want to say how pleased and impressed I am with how Lily managed the sale of my home in Lorton, VA.
From the first discussions late last year until the sale, Lily consistently exhibited excellent judgment of market conditions both in timing and asking price. Throughout the process she provided timely and on-point advice and significant support on necessary upgrades and improvements, essentially those things that buyers would be looking for. Since we received three offers (at asking price and higher) on the Monday after the open house, it’s clear to me that she had the correct formula and blended the information together perfectly.
I would characterize her as responsive, organized, tenacious and an extremely strong seller’s advocate all the while maintaining a level of professionalism that I admire. Additionally, Lily has that personal touch that I found reassuring during what can be a stressful time. I have mentioned Lily’s great work to friends at my office because I know she will do a great job for them should the need arise.

“Always prepared”
My husband and I are grateful for the excellent job that Lily Cole did in selling our house and my mother’s house. These were two of the most important transactions in our lives. Lily understood that and had the skills and the devotion to do this very important job. She did an excellent job for us.
My mother’s house and our house sold within 3 days at more than full price to buyers that could get financing and close within 30 days. That’s quite remarkable in this market. Lily’s excellent efforts did not stop with finding qualified buyers and good terms of sale. Before the home inspections occurred, we moved to our new house in Georgia. Lily stepped-up and worked with our home repair contractor and, together, they got everything fixed–complete with pictures and receipts for the buyers in a timely way. Lily was always prepared, thinking ahead and, managed the whole difficult and complex process successfully. Both closings happened on time—in the short time frames without a snag.
Lily Cole is the best real estate agent.

"Incredible asset"
I cannot let exceptional performance go without mention and that is exactly what we received from Lily Cole in selling our Potomac home. She is simply incredible. Both my wife and I were skeptical about selling our home. We were concerned it may not be the right time to sell and we were convinced we would not get the price we needed to move to the Eastern shore. However, Lily’s calm, professional manner assured us that January was the perfect time to sell and she was quietly confident that she could get our asking price, if not more. She was right. Due to her efforts which began well before the home was listed, we sold the home in three days and got over our asking price. I still am amazed she was able to do this for us. I cannot tell you how fortunate we feel to have had Lily sell our home. Her calmness, her confidence in her ability and her knowledge of the market helped us remain calm through the entire selling process. Chris, in all honesty, Lily is the hardest working, most dedicated person I have ever met. To her it is more than just selling a home, she genuinely cares about her clients. I trust her, I admire her.
I sincerely hope you understand the incredible asset you have working for you in Lily Cole.

"Guided us through an extremely challenging market"
As you know, Long and Foster has a fine reputation for dedicated, quality service. As clients, we must emphasize our good fortune to have received the highest degree of that quality service from your agent, Lily Cole.
Lily, through her professionalism, perseverance and patience, successfully guided us through an extremely challenging Buyer's Market, particularly for homes of our size and price range. She wisely devoted the requisite efforts and resources to overcome that huge challenge.
Thanks to Lily, we are very happy to have successfully sold our large, wonderful Chevy Chase home of 34 years and downsized into a wonderful Bethesda penthouse apartment. Thank you Lily!

"Assembled a stellar team of workers"
I would like to share the excellent experience I had working with Lily Cole. I met Lily about seven years ago when my sister and I wandered into a house she was showing in my neighborhood.
Lily followed up and got to know me and my late husband. When I decided to sell my house at 5510 Huntington Parkway in Bethesda, I asked Lily's advice. I was very impressed by her analysis of the strong and less strong selling points of the house and her recommendations about selling price and timing. We had constructive discussions about improving the appearance of the house, and she assembled a stellar team of workers. The house was well-priced--under contract in four days--but Lily also succeeded in obtaining $20,000 more than the contract bid.
Perhaps even more important was Lily's handling of the time and emotional pressures of selling a house in which my family and I had lived for more than 30 years. She was considerate and understanding but applied a good dose of tough love to keep me moving. She still checks in frequently about my move and my family. When I learned that some good friends from church were moving back to Oregon, I did not hesitate to endorse Lily's knowledge and services. They selected her after interviewing three other agents.
I highly recommend Lily as a realtor. I also admire her as a person and am grateful for our continued friendship.
